Meet the cast

Tommy Batchelor (Billy)
My name is Tommy Batchelor. I am 14 years old and live in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. I debuted on Broadway as “Billy” at age 13. I was interested in dance from the age of three while watching videos of Bojangles and Fred Astaire. I started studio dance training at Dance Factory in Minnesota when I was four years old. From the moment I started dancing I loved it – especially tap and now modern. Much of my dance training has been in Public schools of the arts such as UB Kinsey/Palmview Elementary and Bak Middle School. I’ve enjoyed the many solos that I’ve performed in Palm Beach Ballet Center’s annual productions. I danced the part of the Prince/Nutcracker in Miami City Ballet’s The Nutcracker in 2006. By age 12 I danced in the final rounds of the International Ballet competition YAGP (Youth America Grand Prix) where I was scouted for Billy Elliot. My hobbies are twirling fire, skating, snowboarding, playing the drums, and building/inventing things. I wanted to be on Broadway for as long as I can remember. My dance teacher, Ms. Jane Beck told me I would make it on Broadway someday and she was right. I would like to thank my family, friends, my studio director Ms. Joan Miller and my amazing dance teachers who helped me to become the dancer I am. I would also especially like to thank Mr. Douglas Gawiriljuk and Ms. Stacey Downs for choreographing the dances that helped me get chosen for Billy Elliot.
Cesar Corrales (Billy)
Hello, my name is Cesar Corrales, I'm 13 years old and I can't wait to be Billy! I was born in Mexico, but currently live in Montreal with my parents, who are also dancers, where I have been studying at Canada's National Ballet School. I've performed with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in Madama Butterly and Anna Karenina and I've performed in The Nutcracker at both the National Ballet of Canada and Les Grands Ballet Canadiens. I'm a member of the IMCO gymnastics club and have participated in numerous competitions, including winning first place at the Coupe Quebec. I've even gotten to be in a movie (Shall We Dance with Jennifer Lopez)! Besides dancing, I also love playing sports, doing gymnastics and traveling with my family.
John Peter Viernes (Billy)
Raised in Half Moon Bay, CA. Inspired by his sister, J.P. began dancing at the age of seven years old with the Shely Pack Dancers. Studied at City Ballet San Francisco for two years. Winner of national and regional dance titles under the direction of Shely Pack Manning. Cast as Jerome in South Pacific, Coastal Repertory Theater, CA. Many thanks to God, Dad, Mom, Jackie, Phil, Rex, Lexi, Shely, friends and family.
Giuseppe Bausilio (Billy)
Giuseppe is 12 years old and from Bern, Switzerland. His parents have two ballet schools and his brother is also a ballet dancer.  He began ballet dancing for fun, but it quickly became his passion. He is trained in other styles of dance including jazz, flamenco, hip-hop, tap and competed in numerous dance competitions in Switzerland, France, Italy and the US (including the Youth America Grand Prix). Has performed in Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia at the State Theatre of Bern, and the operas Mazzepa and Falstaff. Giuseppe enjoys cooking, skiing, riding his bike, studying languages (and speaks five!) and reading.  He plays Kung Fu Wushu, the Cello, and football. Playing Billy is a dream come true!
